Constants

Constants is a web app for iPhone and iPod Touch that lists useful physical constants.
The neat thing is that you can copy numbers straight from Constants and paste them into the Calculator, or anywhere else you like.
This app was written in an evening purely for myself — I really like the iPhone Calculator app but I was still carrying my old Casio around because I’d sellotaped a hand-written list of constants to the case when I was in school. I can usually remember a few (depending on what I’ve been studying recently!) but I always need numbers to hand.

I imagine there’s a chance it may be of use to other iPhone-wielding scientists and students too, so I’ve put it up at constants.tommyogden.com. Visit that page on your iPhone or iPod Touch to install.

Any errors are certainly mine, so let me know if you spot something amiss. And of course, check with a real authority if it’s for anything even slightly important.
Constants owes an immense debt to Neven Mrgan’s far cleverer and lovelier Glyphboard app — particularly for the browser checking.
Whether you’re building a bottle rocket or a lunar lander, you need your physical constants handy!
